As the title suggests - the pedemontana strikes again.
I received a “late payment claims notice” (or something to that effect) from the credit recovery company “Ge.Ri. Gestione Rischi S.r.l.,”, which is listed on the Pedemontana site as their credit recovery arm.
Now, normally I would just pay (it’s a small amount); but this time I was curious as I was SURE I had my telepass with me in the last few months. So I looked at the dates, which allege that the infraction occurred in 2020.
This is where things get fun - the car in question was ordered in 2023, brand new from the dealership. So in 2020, the plates did not belong to me (I assume plates get recycled).
I’m curious - so do pedemontana / Ge.Ri get details of car owners without a date? Surely the authorities should not be providing the address of the current owner, but the details of the owner when the infraction happened? I need to go back and check previous ones now… as I’m very curious if I just paid without checking (though I never got the credit recovery one before)
