I have loads of 20 and 30L kegs of craft beer, some KeyKegs, some normal Swiss fitting aluminium kegs that I can't serve right now (obviously). Let me know what you want and I might be able to help you.
I'd like to understand where can I buy and return the empty kegs (to get the deposit) afterwards. I used to live in Luxembourg and almost all supermarkets sell kegs and Philips machine.
If I remember correctly, Orval doesn't offer draft outside of the monastery. I'd love to be proven wrong! But yes, absolutely and definitely among my top beers too. I love also how the brettanomyces changes the beer as it ages.
Hi guys, indeed...Im a beer lover. I visited all trappistes monasteries in Belgium and Holland...
Now that I've moved to ZH Im struggling a lit bit to find old school beers.
Back to my question: does anyone know where can I buy and return kegs in CH? As the weather is getting warm it would be nice to have a perfect draft machine...but I haven't found kegs in CH with a reasonable price...
There seems to be some confusion in this thread: „perfectdraft“ is a system. A smallish refrigerated keg holder that keeps the beer good for longer than a normal draft machine. But you need to buy the matching kegs, a bit like nespresso... and yes, the per liter price is high. However, it’s international so you can get anything from a German Altbier to a Belgian Trappist. Wasn’t aware that Orval has them, the standard seems to be Leffe (if we ignore the Stella...)
Hi Orval, I used to live in Southern Holland and I know how poor the beer scene in Switzerland is, comparing to where we came from. I own a Perfect Draft, as well, so I know the struggle.
Answer to your question: Rio Getränke in Wallisellen has a limited offer of PErfect Draft, but they have. You can find Hoegaarden, Leffe, Stella Artois, Beck's, Löwenbräu and Franziskaner, around CHF26-28 per keg + CHF 5 pfand.
I've asked in another Rio Getränke shop in Dietikon, they didn't have it in the store, but one could order.
And that's it, even in German shops across the border it's quite hard to find them.
