Hi we would like to teach our kids to start earning the things they want and would like to try it with a lemonade stand.
Does anyone know if there are laws regarding selling homemade non-alcoholic lemonade in front of your house? Do you need a permit or do you have to register your "business". Is there a limit underwhich you can earn and not have to get a permit?
While we are on the subject how about if you wanted to sell:
I don`t know about the other stuff, but a garage sale doesn`t need any permit, as far as I know, as long as it`s an occassional happening - not a regular occuring "mini shop"?
Anyway, check at your local friendly gemeinde.
My grandkids, and others occassionally, would set up a little table and umbrella, outside their house to sell their unwanted stuff. Amazing what they sold!
I really don't think there is going to be any kind of issue with your kids setting up a one day off lemonade stand, as long as it doesn't look too professional.
In the country side I know of barns that have beer and wine set up on tables that have a donation cup and a place to sit, and that has to be in some kind alcohol curiosity status.
I also know in not so rural areas, by main towns, where if farmer's are selling apple or any other kind of juice, you can fill up with a cup, and put the suggested amount in the box.
Really shouldn't be a problem.
Just don't do it at a Flohmarkt without permission.
ooh, I must have missed them trying to keep and eye on my daughter and her friend from running into other people or drifting too far to the left at times! Although, we were on the stretch from Schmerikon to Rappi...maybe the enterprising youngsters were on the other half of the route...
Just don't have them go around trying to sell rocks. My neighborhood kids were going around last week and I was glad my kids weren't with them on that occasion - I didn't know if they were serious or not trying to sell me stones, like ones they picked up right outside my front door. I asked how much they were for sale for and I think it was 10 or 20 rappen or 3 CHF. Now, I was all ready to play around, but decided 3 CHF was no longer play money
