I have 1 year experience in community pharmacist and 2 years experience in hospital pharmacist.

I'm learning french since last year and i passed level B1. and planning to study more french in switzerland and really want to work in switzerland. Maybe as pharmacist assistance or pharmacist. I heard that foreign pharmacist is required to be recognized in switzerland.

should i admission swiss university to study more in pharmacy school for bachelor or master?

I'm really willing to relocate to switzerland. do You have any suggestion what to do? Any recommendation?

Thankyou

First of all check the website from the Red Cross on what is required to get your degree approved (and in what way).

Keep in mind that it is VERY difficult to get a job here as non EU and you ́d need to get your language skills up to speed.

You cannot study pharmacy here, medicine is a subject restricted to Swiss/Lichtenstein nationals and people who have lived in Switzerland for many years.

To get your foreign degree recognised you’d need to contact this organisation:

Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH)
MEBEKO
CH-3003 Bern
T +41 58 462 94 83

Knowing a Swiss language fluently will be a major part of the process. So you’ll likely need C1 or even C2 to be considered.

Thankyou very much for your answer

I will try contact them

still, I need to study more language in switzerland.

Doesn’t matter where you study the language so long as you get it up to the required level which the FOPH will be able to tell you.

It is only Humanmedizin (studying to be a doctor), Veterinary medicine, Chiropractor and Dentist that are restricted to nationals and long-term residents. Pharmacy is not restricted for foreign students.

Thankyou Medea Fleecestealer.

I have more questions.

As a citizen outside EU.

If i finished nursing school or doctor of pharmacy in france.

is that possible to work in Switzerland?

Thankyou for your answer.

I asked lausanne university and they told me i can admission for pharmacy school. If I have language level B1.

But i'm confusing about subject. Is pharmacy science the same as Doctor of pharmacy? Or pharmacy science is about medicine manufacturing?

The degree would be more easily recognised, but you still have the language issue to deal with.

In terms of obtaining a work permit: no. The only think that counts for that is citizenship, where you studied is irrelevant (if outside Switzerland and even within Switzerland it's of limited relevance)

As a non-EU the chance to obtain a work permit in CH as a pharmecist is zero.

My wife(Non-EU) is studying master in pharmacy in Switzerland and their department head has told her clearly that it is impossible to get an independent work permit to work in a pharmacy since it is difficult to prove it has scientific or financial importance.

Of course if you marry a Swiss/ European or holder of permit C or even permit B things change

Thankyou for your answer

So the only way is to marry a guy

So sad.

Thai females have a slight advantage here

maybe. You will love thai females
