There in fact, in the 1990ies, was a Philippine restaurant in Zürich, in Stampfenbachstrasse, which then however suddenly disappeared.
I like the new name Wilma's Kitchen, it sounds more authentic..
Thai people tend to feel superior over the Filipinos, for whatever reasons. And possibly fear that Europeans once having found their way to the Philippine restaurant might stop masochistic sessions in Thai places in favour of a cuisine which is much nearer to European tastes.
I love the more spicy parts of the Indian cuisine while Thai cuisine for me is a bit too extremely spicy. If I remember it correctly the Philippine restaurant in Zurich had a boring "füdlibürgerisch/spiessbürgerlich" ambiance, and was exactly in a sector of the Stampfenbachstrasse where nobody went to after 18.30 . At least not then, as the area in just recent years improved in regard to gastronomy.
Did you know that Chilli was imported by the Portuguese to Thailand and prior to that it was a very unspicy cuisine ?
Thai cuisine is a fusion of a lot of different regional kitchens, that's why I love its diversity! But I am most willing to try new foods!
