Piaggio MP3 2009 Wheel lock issue

Hello - I have recently bought a Piaggio MP3. The first registration is December 2009.

Now about 2 weeks later and after driving aprox 500km, this Monday the roller doesn't start anymore. There is a constant alarm sound and the wheel lock symbol is constantly lit.

My question before I bring it to any service and start paying a fortune to any mechanic: is there anyone here who has come across this issue and has experience repairing it?

I managed to open up the front and can (almost) reach the lock and sensor however I am reluctant to continue without someone beside me having actual experience.

Your input, opinion or suggestions are highly appreciated.

You could call the TCS, pay them the membership fee (Less than CHF 100 for a year) and if he cannot fix it on the spot, they will move the scooter to a workshop.

It's because MP3 was very new in 2009.

Thanks thats a very useful suggestion. I just spoke to TCS and signed up. For the coming days I am still interested in experiences from others and if nothing comes out I'll call them.
