Pick up Jumbo purchases at Coop

Is this a new feature? Today while looking for an item on Jumbo’s website when I went to check the inventory at a location near me, there was this a “pick up station” option.

So I clicked on that and I was surprised to see I could order the item and pick it up at a Coop supermarket near my home. The shipping is free. As Jumbo is much further than the local Coop, this is great.

Probably because Coop recently bought Jumbo.

This is why the Coop Bau and Hobby stores have all disappeared.

Yep we noticed that our Coop Bau changed recently to a Jumbo so thought they’d probably been bought by Coop. Now they’re knocking it down though so what’s going in its place we’ll have to wait and see.

I knew they bought it, as they asked for supercard when you went to pay. There was no Bau and Hobby near to us.

In fact, the selection of hardware stores near us is very limited. The closest one is over the border in Italy which for some items is great and others not so.

Anyways it seems that not all items from Jumbo can be shipped to every Coop and some items cannot be shipped at all.
