Pizza cafe in Zurich

I am looking for a good Pizza cafe in Zurich. One that is not so formal as a restaurant where one can basically just sit and eat and then go. It has to be a good stone oven Pizza.

Too formal. I am looking for just a drop in/eat/leave. Or does that not exist in this lame Zurich?

The Pizza at Bellevue is actually rather nice.

It does not have a wood oven but the pizza tastes nice nevertheless.
You can also just buy a slice. Give it a try

Flying Pizza on Nordstrasse was the only place I would go to for Pizza in ZH. Even my Italian friends went there. It’s a take away/delivery place with some seats inside and on the pavement.

It’s cheap (for Zürich) and it has the benefit of having a great variety of traditional and craft beers at silly cheap prices, wine by the bottle and glass was also very cheap. Staff and regulars all very friendly, it had a sort of community meet up place feel to it. One of the few places I really miss about Zürich!

Just look for a place where you see retired people smoking and drinking coffee for hours. As grumpygrapefuit mentioned, some seats and take away, opening hours from 10h00 to 22h00...that's the place.

Issue around ZH is high rent and the competition from generic pizza-kebab-grill places.

San Gennaro was ranked in the top 50 pizza places in Europe - great terrace over looking the river.
