Are there any astronomers here? . I've been obsessed with the series 'Cosmos' recently, as well as reading about cosmology. I'm thinking I'll get an entry-level telescope and try it out as a new hobby.
Does anybody know any good areas local to Neuchatel for gazing at stars?

You need to head to the mountains and over to other side of Jura mountains where there is little light pollution. I would suggest our deck at the back of the house- no light pollution at all- but for another time as we will be at the Buskers Festival this week-end in Neuch.
There is of course an excellent observatory in Neuchâtel
