Plan to take Driving exams (zurich/zug area)

Hi,

I plan to do my driving exam in zurich or zug. But I have the following questions:

1. I have done my "first-aid" and "sensation" in geneva. Can these results be carried to different canton (zurich or zug)?

2. About the theory, do zurich or zug offer theoritical test in English?

You might want to edit your profile location from geneva to zug.

You can do the practical test anywhere in CH you like. You need to announce (i.e. fill out some form) if it's outside the Kanton of residence, your driving teacher will be glad to fill in the details.

Hello Let me see if i can help you out here. I just took my driving test in Steinhausen, Zug on November 11th.

I did my first aid training in Basel as they had it in English at the right price and on the right days.

I did the theory test in english in Zurich but i had to get permission fron the strassenverkerhs amt Steinhausen to do it outside of the Kanton where i reside (Zug) because they do not have it in english.

And the practical test i did in Steinhausen because my understanding of the German language luckily includes, Straight,left,right,back and stop.

So you can take your tests anywhere you want provided you get permission from your home kanton. Call them, they love to help nd they speak english too.

EXTREMELY helpful! I went into the office in DeleĢmont today to ask if I can take my practical driving test in BL or BS because I only speak 5 French words and the lady looked at me as if I asked her to wear a pink tutu and sing, "I'm a Little Teacup" - even though she told me that she speaks German! So I'll run back there and *try* to ask for clearance to take this test elsewhere. Thanks guys!

Zurich offers the test in English I passed it few day ago. and if you ask them for permition you can do it in other canton. The driving test you have to do in your canton and not in the other.
