I moved with my car to Switzerland and the MfK test is next week. So I bought in Coop B+H a set of simple registration plate holders. I don't need the easy switchable ones, and there was only one other version. They should fit to my Ford (screwdrivers position), but the holders don't have a removable slip, like I've seen in many other countries. It's a single piece of a quite flexible plastic. How can I easily mount the new Swiss registration plate to it? It looks like it could bend enough on the front, but the back version for the larger plate is even more rigid and I can't imagine how to insert the plate there - let alone remove it at some point!
I checked other shops and it seems that this is a standard version nowadays. It looks quite similar to products from Migros or Jumbo.

The same version, from the same company, but a metal one is sold in Migros. How does one insert and remove a registration plate from it?

Mine looks like that and has little tabs at the top, the number plate is relatively easy to click in by pushing firmly.
When you have to take it out, you lever the tabs back carefully and a microsecond before they break the number plate comes out. If you're lucky.
Needless to say I would not recommend them if you intend to swap your plates frequently, although to be fair they've gone through this procedure several times (bike carrier) without actually breaking.
