Hello, friends. Where could I and my wife find information about top surgeons, specializing in dermatologic surgeries, in Switzerland?

By "top" we probably mean most highly regarded and well experienced. At this point, money is not an issue for us.

Some of the concerning topics include : {atrophic scars, boxcar scars, scar excision, scar revision, punch excision, cosmetic surgery, dermabrasion, laser resurfacing, etc}.

I guess the issue is to find someone who does not necessarily do noses, lipos, and breasts, but someone good who reconstructs the skin after traumas.

Check with the major hospitals - unispital, hirslanden, etc and see who works with trauma surgeons - absent knowing anyone specifically, that's where i would start.

2. Is there any sort of review system for surgeons/doctors in Switzerland? I know my country had one, and the US have plenty, and Canada, etc.

No its ok, its one thing that's taken care of. Now the matter is to find a reputable surgeon..

Generally speaking, I'd get a referral from my primary care doc, or if i had a trauma surgeon, from the trauma surgeon.. There seem to be Swiss societies of plastic/aesthetic surgeons - google reconstructive surgery switzerland, for example to identify the societies and possible docs. It's hard because physician quality is very subjective. Good luck.

A cosmetic surgeon is not a protected title and any can use it in Switzerland. So be careful. Insurance might pay if this isn't a pure cosmetic surgery but a re-constructive.

I am also looking for a good plastic surgeon in Switzerland, preferably Zurich to help with a scar revision. I checked out the prevention center , but it seems that surgeon is not part of the Swiss Plastic Surgery Association, I'm not sure if that makes a big difference, but I would like to find someone that is experienced in this area.

The problem is there is very limited information online regarding reviews of plastic surgeons in Switzerland, in comparison to countries like Canada, where I am able to find lots of reviews and testimony's from people who had procedures done.
