I have the webcam from Iceland running on the TV / Monitor and I am in awe over this eruption.

It’s been rumbling for months. Fortunately it’s not on the same level as the thumping big eruption that forced ash into the atmosphere and crippled air travel a decade or so ago. I’m no geologist but hoping that this gently spewing crack is keeping the pressure down and lowering the risk of a mega eruption.

It is and in the meantime it is totally fantastic to watch it live.
I’ve got friends who flew into Iceland a couple of days ago for a walking holiday. They can definitely watch it live!
Will they be able to get home though?
I am more worried about the Phlegrean Fields.
Yeah, they seem to be on gas mark 8 at the moment.
