Hi all,
Maybe was the wrong query... but is there any post with addresses of Portuguese shops to buy food?
If don't please feel free to write thm down here!
I am looking in Zurich but I'm sure that all the answers are welcome.
Thanks.
Merry christmas!
Joao Garcia
I saw a store in vevey, but I guess that is a quite a bit out of your way. I hope you find one in your area.
Hi,
I've seen a shop called "RiasBai" which apparently specializes in Spanish and Portuguese stuff. Its opposite the Schaffhauserplatz tram station by the road.
Hope this helps.
Cheers!

You might want to try Casa Portugal in Embrach (10 mins by bus 520 from the airport). Sells wine plus other stuff from P.
Hi João,
I saw this Portuguese store in Opfikon, Zurich http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&sour...2,4.82,,1,8.07 . It is called "Lebensmittel Rio Douro".
I don't know what kind of products do they sell because I saw it on a Sunday and it was closed.
Abraço.
A little late there. This thread was from 2008.... Mas não faz mal, welcome to the forum!
Sorry... My mistake...
Hope it will be useful anyway.
Regards.

Those shops have definitely tripled since 2008.
Even my little village has one.
There's one in Albisrieden in the same row of shops as the UBS and Migros sort of between the Albisriederdörfli and Fellenbergstr. tram / bus stops.
Cheers,
Nick
Any selling freshly baked, good quality "Pastel de Nata"?

There's a small store on Aemtlerstrasse between Berthastrasse and Zwinglihaus bus (33) stops in Wiedikon. It's called Escudo.
I can't tell you in Zurich, but they have REALLY good ones at the petrol station cafe near the Blecherette highway entrance in Lausanne! Yum....
Sounds good. Have tried to find which petrol station but can't see one nearby.
http://map.search.ch/la-blecherette Also looked on google street view at the complex NE of the junction but looks like industrial.
It is called "Escudo" or "Casa Escudo".
They have frozen "Pastéis de Nata", which just take 15 minutes on the owen.
You can also buy some really cheap beer and wines, apart from other portuguese specialities.
Regards.
Since this thread's been resurrected, I'll add that there's a fairly new Portuguese shop in Adliswil, on Wachtstrasse near the Sihl. Have passed it several times, but am yet to go in ... a bit nervous ...
Sorry, I didn't see this before. I'm also trying to find the place.....
Aha: AGIP, rt Plaines du Loup 48. But it's been a while! I hope they are still good. Especially if you go on quest.

The bakery Bachmann sells these in Luzern and in Zug. They call them Schneferli's
Any Portuguese shops near Zug? I found Nestum in the Coop in Grindlewald and our supplies are running low.
Hi all
I'm sorry to dig back a thread quite old, but I don't know if the stores you mentioned are still opened at this date .
So anyone knows portuguese stores & also a portuguese place where I could by 'pasteis de nata' around Zürich or Dietikon?
Thank you!
