I tried to log in my e-finance account several times without success, and I am sure of the number + password. Called the support and they surprisingly informed me that from now on you also need to provide the "username" if the account is owned by 2 persons or more.....they just sent the letter and the lady informed me that it will arrive tomorrow or next week!
Odd, my wife and I jointly own our account and no user id is required. It looks like if you set it up that way when you opened your account, it requires it. I've logged into it a couple of times this week.
The user identification is needed on mine or it says my password is incorrect. I don't find it very user friendly at all. I see two submit buttons on that screen where it asks for the user identification and thought it was an either / or. Seems that it doesn't let me log in without it.
Been like that for years. Just checked in my bank folder and the username dates back to at least 8/5/2008. If it's a 2-person joint account only one of them needs the username. Was quite clearly explained, in English, at the time, so I don't find it confusing at all.
Do you have two card readers, or just share the same log-in? It was when we wanted separate card readers and details, so we could either log in independently of the other, that the username was added for my log-in.
We have a joint account for that last 10years; I've been using e-finance for at least 5years and never had to use the user-identifier thing. First time yesterday and they apparently sent a letter a few days ago...waiting for it.
I think it reminds me of the case Hilldebrand (director of swiss national bank): keep track who passwed the order. By puting explicitely a username you kind of "tell" that the husband or wife used the service.
