Sounds very likely, he is an adulterer & clearly weird. When married to one of the most beautiful women in the world, he is unfaithful with someone who resembles his mother.
The issue is royal families. Why should they be any different to any other family? This one is clearly not embued with particularily positive genes, though the upbringing is also going to make things difficult.
Whatever happened is now.
It’s not always about looks 
If you had read the book Diana her true story, that she collaborated on. You’d know Diana had quite a lot of mental health problems. Charles being used to quite stoic people (such as his sister Anne) found that hard to deal with and understand - so he ended up with Camilla who was a person who could give him a lot of support, more stiff upper lip. He didn’t understand Diana’s mentality or know how to deal with it.
That said, all the Windsor’s have a temper, I can totally see Charles losing his temper over the phone and saying something stupid at a time of high stress and grief - just like he lost his temper at a fountain pen just after his mother died. Doesn’t mean he meant it.
I really detest the media interest in a sub-normal family who did nothing for their massive wealth, other than being born…

You’d think after the whole “tampon affaire” (when a phone call to Camilla was snooped and subsequently leaked), he’d be more careful about talking on the phone. Especially in the emotional state he was likely in at that time.
The thing is, people have seen “The Crown” and now mix up stuff they read back then, stuff they heard back then and stuff they saw on “The Crown” with new stuff people publish (which may or may not be totally made up or fantasized together by a LLM) and think it’s true.
