Too young for school anyway isn’t it? (Yes Tom, I know in Ticino it would be fine. )
We are open to both options - bilingual or french school/nursery. Tom, highly sensitive child is one of 15-20% of children born with a nervous system that is highly aware and quick to react to everything. They are easily overwhelmed by high levels of stimulation, sudden changes, they are emotionally intense and a bit demanding.
The commune, or side of the lake you live will also influence your decision.
Rive droite is a better option for us. But if we find a good school/nursery we are ready to move to Rive Gauche or just do the commute

I would look for a smaller school, or one that has smaller class size given your child's issues. Then best to visit and have a chat and see if they can meet your child's needs.
