It seems that the AAC streams have now been disabled, too; so, like many on here, I had to change my WMA settings to BBC mp3 streams.
http://www.radiofeeds.co.uk/mp3.asp have all updated links to BBC Radio on mp3. - Currently, I've still got all BBC Local Radio on WMA, but I guess it's only a matter of time until these are switched off as well, except on mp3.
Hope this helps! (Can't live without BBC Radio on the puter, me!!)
My BBC Radio 4 has gone off the air as of yesterday on my Internet Radio (Squeezebox). Apparently BBC does not support Windows Media Player any more. Any tips on what I should do now to get the radio to work?
Not quite I have Medion and Tetris brand internet radios from Aldi and/or Lidl (can't tell which is which) they both get Radio 4 with 99% reliability. And they use different servers...
My Marantz amp gave a Windows Media message for BBC 6 Music last weekend, so I searched for the station again and it reappeared working on a new stream.
A further (more conventional) update has appeared, in the last couple of hours. If you update the iPlayer plugin it now works again at the highest bitrate allowed at your location
We have had real problems getting BBC Internet Radio with our two Macs and iPad here in Basel the last few days - has anyone else had this problem? We've got broadband through Swisscom. From Thurs am to today we could not listen live or download any podcasts. This afternoon I have managed to listen live but with occasional breaks in transmission. We've never had problems before and it's a mystery. Any and all suggestions warmly welcome!
Thanks very much TiMow, yes I have always used BBC iPlayer Radio and I have not previously had to install anything extra to receive it on either a Mac or on the iPad.
And I have found zero information on the BBC website about new changes.
