Propane gas for gas grill

We live in Vevey, got a new gas grill -- any idea where to get the propane tanks? Is there a 'standard' retailer, or like in the States you could get them from certain gas stations, home places, etc.

Pretty much any gas station will have them. You'll pay a deposit (40 CHF?) and always exchange the pressure bottle for a full one.

For some reason I always use the petrol station at Riviera Autos, follow the "lake road" towards Montreux and its a Mercedes dealership just before Clarens. They have gas bottles, charcoal and big bags of ice (cubed or crushed), so I know they've got my needs covered.

I think its because I like to go window shopping for cars and dream a little.

Thanks for the advice! I got mine at Landi outside Chebrexes today. But had a deposit of 55ch as first tank Now to fire up the new Koenig!!!!!

That's ok, mine had a 65 CHF deposit and I have to have some red credit card like thing to hand back in when the time comes if I want it back!

Don't be . Hold on to the deposit slip and you'll get the deposit back when you give the tank back.
