I’d really appreciate some honest feedback regarding the Primary Schools in Zug City (Guthirt) and central Baar. We were considering initially moving to Zug Guthirt area, but the few reviews we’ve come across about the school, along with some comments from Zug locals not in the immediate area, have not been very encouraging. We are now potentially thinking of central Baar instead. Does anyone have any personal experience with either Zug Guthirt or Baar schools or recommendations for better public primary schools in the area?
The only information I can find about Guthirt Primary School is that the town plans to construct additional buildings there, which some local residents oppose. They would prefer that new classroom space not be built on the grassy area currently used for recreation, and are asking officials to consider alternative solutions instead. Is this what the negative comments you read refer to?
It was on another forum, Reddit, from a few years ago. Apparently the school was known locally as the school to avoid. The one in Kirchmatt was the preferred one at the time.
Yes I saw that article thanks. I found on another forum but from a few years back that it was known as the school to avoid in Zug. Also some colleagues at the office confirmed this reputation. Apparently kindergarten and primary school are crammed into one location at the moment. But yes hopefully in the future the school will expand. I just wondered if someone had direct experience.
It’s basically according to where you live - generally you go to the closest school. But the OP mentions moving so I guess they are looking to move to an appropriate catchment area.
