Purchasing new iPhone (Swisscom vs. Galaxus)

Galaxus website selling same phone model for 133chf cheaper than Swisscom website.

I currently have an iPhone 6+ I bought in the US. I'd like to upgrade to a new phone and give my son my current phone. Can I just purchase a new phone online from Galaxus, insert my current iPhone 6+ sim card into the new phone and my son's iPhone 4S sim card into the iPhone 6+? Or, do I need to go to the Swisscom store and pay the higher price?

Appreciate any feedback.

If I recall correctly both use nano sim, so yes you can simply switch the sim over and all is done.

The software and the contacts etc, are not stored on the sim card.

You can use itunes for example to bring the data from you old phone to the new.

There are apps aswell who , to get the data to the new phone.

It is plain forward and very easy.

if/when you buy from swisscom you have 14 days to take it back

and get a 100% refund.. used that a few times when i was not sure

about the phone or its functions.. (not the sim contract, just the phone)

Just use iCloud and you will be fine for syncing the new phone. Not been a need for iTunes for years. Sign in to iCloud if you dont with your iPhone 6, make sure its all syncd to the cloud under "icloud settings". Then when you swap sims just sign in on your new phone. Simple!

BTW, Salt has an offer whereby the iPhone XR is free at the moment.

Or simply connect your new phone to your old phone, it will recognize the new one and sync.

Free with a 70 CHF subscription for 24 months that has a regular cost of 30 CHF.

Yep not the cheapest, but there is a small saving to be had. The cheapest unlimited deal in Switzerland is around 39chf with UPC. There could be others cheaper but lets discount the offers where you get 2gb at high speed internet and then the rest at 1990s dial up speed. So lets say you're paying 30chf for the phone a month, thats 720 over 2yrs. The iPhone XR on Apple CH is currently 878 so thats a saving of 158.

If you can find better then please help! Im sure we would all love to know....

29.95 chf at Salt

Haha ok! i just realised that my maths was off! UPC is 29 too, so that would mean 960 extra in fees over 2yrs! Not worth it!

you're using your 6+ with a Swiss SIM already, correct? If so: no problem, just swap the SIM
