Now that I'm fully settled in Bern, with more activities and less time on my hands, I'm starting to look at the different options to hire a cleaning person.
Correct me if I'm wrong but it seems the practical "chèque emploi" (which I used when I was in France) scheme is only available in Romand cantons, not in Bern (or maybe only in the French speaking part of the canton). Is there some kind of equivalent for the Bern area? The full procedure on the SECO site seems amazingly complicated, and I can't believe everyone here hires housekeepers on a black market basis.
Another option would be to use a company providing salaried housekeepers, but the few sites I have found of companies operating in this field (and in the Bern area) do not look too professional. Does anyone have a good company to recommand? Looking at keeping the cost around 30 CHF an hour.
