Questions about insurance coverage from Viseca for rental car in Spain

Hi,

I’m taking a trip to Mallorca Spain this month. I’m planning to rent a car there and I came across a rental service - Wiber . I plan to conduct this transaction using my Viseca Gold Credit Card.

Wiber offers basic (cheaper) and all-inclusive (a fee of 50-60EUR) option. Basic requires 700 EUR excess fee (this is like a deposit I assume), while the all-inclusive does not require it. Other than that, all-inclusive has the following coverage Collision damage waiver Damage of the underside of the vehicle, windows and windshields, wheels and tires, clutch, rearview mirrors, loss of antenna, battery Loss of car keys Fuel error

Viseca offers the Collision damage excess waiver on hired vehicles . So I guess my credit card covers the first item from the list above, is there any reason I should take the all-inclusive option?

I also came across Fully comprehensive hire car insurance , which my card does not have? Is this needed? Is this covered by all-inclusive option?

I always take "full package" from the rental company to enjoy the vacation and just leave the car at the airport never hearing anything back about it again. So unless the full option is a rip off, I'd recommend just taking it

Besides the price, the main difference between getting the rental car insurance and insurance from a third party is if there is a claim the RCI company will cover it, perhaps billing you for the excess. With a third party you settle first and then claim back from the third party.

I don't mind paying the extra to feel at ease, but I would feel even more at ease knowing I did not spend when I didn't have to
