Ramadan in Zurich

There is a mosque behind HB, 16 Ausstellungsstrasse, Zurich, ZH, Schweiz. It provides food for Iftar.

I've got a pretty large list of Zurich mosques with me which i haven't put up on my site yet. If you tell me which area you're in, i'll post back which masajid are closeby.

Kash.

Extract the list into a PDF / JPEG document and upload it ( click on the paperclip icon ) to your next post. Those interested may download it.

There is an mosque near schaffhauserplatz (Swiss Muslim Society, Weinbergstrasse 147, 8006 Zurich) with facility for iftiar... also check at www.islam.ch

Maybe post the list on the forum for everyone's benefit :-)

Hi - would you be so kind as to give me the name/address of the Lebanese restaurant near Josefstrasse? Is it reasonably priced?

It is meant to be very good, might try it out next week.

That's the Zurich Taliban Centre, and I would not really recommend going there. http://www.masjid.ch/

Is that limited to this one or all mosques in Switzerland?

If it's limited to this one I don't know (I fear it isn't), but there are definitely enough mosques and communities that are on this side of reason.

First day gone ! happy ramadhan for everyone ::>

Good luck. I know I couldn't survive sun-up to sun-down without some food!

Yes, very reasonable compared to other places in Zurich.

Below is a link to the Lebanese restaurant:

Hafnerstrasse 13 (Zurich)

(Its very close to Hotel Montana by the main station)

Nonsense.

Frank, if you took some time to verify this, you too would realise how nonsensical this is, but you havn't.

Did you find good place by the way ?

Thank you very much for your kind response.

Happy Ramadan.

Every Ramadan, I am reminded of my basic military service, which I did with many muslim servicemen during this season. Without food or water from sunrise to sundown, some made it through the course, while some had to fall out. But all of them did give it a go, in 34 degree tropical heat. Much respect! Good luck for the remaining fast!

Good luck all of you. I admire your strength.

having worked in dubai for two years, i felt it was easier then one might think and it made for a great experience to break the fast with my coworkers at one of the many iftar tents...

ramadan kareem to everyone!
