Ramen in Zurich

Hi,

I like Japanese ramen so much but I don't know any Japanese restaurants have good ramen. Most of them are just famous for shushi.

Any recommendation will be appreciated

IKOO in Bäckerstrasse 39 might come to your rescue then. https://goo.gl/maps/gSYeB6nZ4LT2

Thank you so much. I will try it

Just to add to the list of Japanese styled restaurants that aren't sushi based:

- Wagamama on Talstrasse

- KL Teppanyaki on Nüschelerstrasse

The later does not serve Ramen, but still a decent Japanese restaurant.

Ikoo was closed for a summer break when we went last time, but their answering machine recommended Miki (Sihlfeldstrasse 63) as an alternative. It was pretty good and somewhat different from Ikoo. Let us know what you think if you end up going there.

I've tried Bimi, 8008 Zürich Seefeld but I think they only do Udon. It was really good though!

Hi.

I tried the new resto Ooki about 10 days ago. It was a Wednesday night and pretty heaving. Customers were turned away roughly every 5 minutes. The place itself is extremely nicely put together, as is the menu. We went for a selection of small dishes so we could try a bit of everything. The food was good, and although the edamame was overcooked, the gyoza was lovely. The staff weren't up to the task for now, however, and we sat for 15 minutes trying to get service at one point. I'd probably go back, but not soon.

Had a great experience at Miki, as recommended by yiviolin. Went there earlier in the year, maybe March, and was disappointed but went back last month and it was one heck of a ramen! Highly recommended. I think I had the tonkotsu, with extra noodles.

いただきます!!

Miki Ramen!

Samurai II, Kanzleistrasse has some Udon / Ramen (and the best sushi in town!)

+1 for Miki, almost like being back in Tokyo, the Ramen (Tonkotsu) is that good. The same people run the smaller ikoo too.

Had not yet heard of Ooki, look forward to giving it a spin one lunch time (I imagine if I arrive late or earlier should not be a problem...).

went to miki ramen just one week ago and really enjoyed the food but also the atmosphere. staff was original and friendly; just make sure to reserve on time or get there after 9

+1 for Miki!

Hey,

I've yet to try Miki Ramen which I've heard is good.

Ikoo is good and there's also the new Yume Ramen!

PS. There's some awesome food bloggers for Zurich about, online or instagram. Might be of great help too

Bon appetit!

Ella

+ 1 for Miki - I've lived around that corner for a year and I like it very much!

Saku Saku in Seefeld

Ikoo for sure. Yume Ramen in euroapaallee is nice too.

I used to work for Ikoo (in the kitchen) - they use Demeter Bio meat and now make their own noodles. In other words, I can vouch for them!

It looks like I have to visit and try Ikoo. Thanks for tips.

Ikoo and Miki are actually the same thing. The former having the advantage of being less crowded (usually) than the latter.

Hello I have been to Ikoo. It is decent if you are really craving but nothing like the ramen places you get in Paris, nyc, london etc and not a touch on Japan.
