Raw milk / Milchautomat / Lucerne

Hey there!

I've been searching (in vain) for somewhere to buy raw milk in Lucerne.

I have heard there is something called Milchautomat (milk machines) around the country, but can't find any information on where to find them!

Just to clarify, I'm after milk that is unpasteurized and unhomogenised. Sometimes it is known as 'real milk'. The milk from the cow, the way nature intended!

I don't currently understand German, so searching online hasn't provided fruitful.

Thank you in advance if anyone can point me in the right direction.

Sam

I would go to a village outside of Lucerne and ask for a Milchautomat at a Landi or other local shops, the local population might know of one.

Alternatively you could ask at a cheese maker or creameries, they might stock it, you might need to take your own sterilized 1 liter milk bottle,

You are in Luzern, so there should be a Käserei (Emmi etc...) near you. You can also check the Schweizer Milchproduzenten webpage: www.swissmilk.ch

There is one signposted in the village of Boningen, in the farmhouse place off the main road (I think it's near Kreuzplatz but can't remember exactly). Haven't used it yet though.

Try health food stores and bio stores. I don't know about Luzern but I have no trouble finding raw milk in Zürich. Even the Egli in Hauptbahnhof has it.
