Real estate websites

I was wondering about sites like homegate, home.ch..etc.

Are these sort of high-end, expensive listing sites?

If so are there any down to earth alternatives

Do you mean expensive flats or expensive to put an add on?

I found the last three flats on homegate (and I always keep my fix-costs down) and put two successfully on there, it was about Fr. 100.00 franks then I think.

100 franks

Where?

homegate is *the* website to advertise on for a solid serious impression on your future buyer/renter and it has the biggest audience. It's not cheap, unfortunately, that's true...

If you want to go cheap, there's enough small free websites around - simply look at what comparis.ch indexes. And then there are a few agencies around who'd put your ad on homegate for free in exchange for charging a commission to your buyer/renter, scaring most of them away in this way however

Other than homegate there is immoscout24 which charges you about the same. I prefer homegate. It is like an industry standart.

For a capable free alternative, I can suggest you this:

http://www.urbanhome.ch/

When I advertised my flat, out of 10 of my visitors, 7 came from homegate, 2 from urbanhome, 1 from Tutti.ch and no one from Facebook groups

Thanks. I like it - never heard of it before.

I think he meant that it cost 100 Francs to list the flat for rent. You wouldn't even find a room to share here for 100 Francs a month.

Is there a website that gives a list of absentees?

For cheap (starting from free with an allowance of up to 10 images) and reliable there is always www.anibis.ch

absentee owners*

...and here's another free one that I have heard is good though I have never tried it as I have always got results from anibis.

https://www.newhome.ch/en/

no, really, such a website exists...anywhere?

you planning a future burglary or squat?

what a way to sound bias and shallow but....no! It does exists in America and few other countries. Any real estate agent will understand the concept of the question.

got'ya, well there is no such thing as an MLS system in this country, any and all listings go through real estate brokers / estate agents, and only they will be able to tell you who of their listings is an absentee owner.

understood! Thanks for clearing that up, much appreciated.

My guess is that more than 80% of the rental properties are "absentee owners." Properly the largest management company is Livit.

But there also numerous smaller companies. just search for Liegenschaft-Treuhand and Liegenschaftsverwaltung.

If you are looking for a property which has not an absentee owner one indication is that the listing is not by a Treuhand, Verwaltung etc. but a private person. Unfortunately in many of this cases it is more likely a current tenant looking for a replacement.

That's great, thanks for those informations above. I will get onto it now, once again many thanks. Have a great week ahead.
