Recessed flooring entrance mat - help with language/sourcing

What it says in the title - am thinking of installing one by our front door - have found lots of stuff on t'internet, but can't seem to nail a German version or one that supplies in CH.

Not sure if it is just a foreign(...) concept or just that I'm using the wrong language.

Any help appreciated!

I want this kind of things:

Here is a FR company that sells into CH.

Their standard size is 50cm x 80 cm.

Link in FR. You can switch the language to GB to read if you wish.

It seems that rubber mats are more effective than coco. Here is one (not in-set) that you could put outside or inside (if you have the height). It is supplied by a CH company in Nyon.

Thanks both.

Verbier - I want recessed. We've tried all variety of standard mats and they move around and don't really do much...

We had ours installed by the the person who also installed parquet floors and wall-to-wall carpeting. I would look for a shop that does 'Inneneinrichtungen' and 'Fussbodenbeläge' such as 'Teppiche und Parkett'. There you can most likely find coco carpets

I ended up buying from a place in Austria, 65fr carpet and about another 80 from post, zoll, etc.

Would have been cheaper to have a day in Austria and pick it up.

We have a recessed entrance outside our front door with a built in grate. I hate it. I want to remove the grate but I cannot find an outdoor mat which will fit in it.

For my interior, I have a variety of Kleen mat products. You can even have a custom made mat. They wash well and are really non slip.

I have the grate outside aswell , was thinking of having it removed and a mosiac (done with tiles set into that place. I am waiting for a man to come and have a look to give an estimate

from that same website you saw what you really wanted, this is from their FAQs...

Q: Do you ship outside the UK?

A: Yes.

We also a grate on our front porch. I threw a rubber door mat with a metal frame on top of the grate. You can no longer see it. Our coconut fibre doormat covers the entire width of our entrance inside the house

We've got soil-master cushion matting which was in the place when we bought it.

It's amazing. The dirt and water falls through and just needs vacuuming with occasional steam cleaning. We got it in our entrance hall and it covers the whole hallway rather than just a mat but you can get it cut to size.

The previous owner of the house absolutely raved about it and I can see her point. She also has it in her new place.

It's really pleasant to walk on being 10mm thick and spongy.

Anyway, I know you can get it here so if you're interested, I could ask her.

I reckon it's one hundred times better than a normal coir mat.

It's designed to be used in recessed wells.

We had ours supplied by the wood flooring firm - they seemed to thinknit was a fairly standard request - although we did ask for 4m by 2.5m which they thought was a little large. Turns out with 2 kids and several friends turning up all at once, 4m long is barely long enough.

You can never lay enough of this stuff in my opinion!
