Do used aerosol cans go into Züri-Sacks or into the metal bin at the communal recycling bins?
I'm not certain what is OK in Zurich, but I've seen them in recycling here.
In Basel, putting an aerosol spray in a rubbish bag is akin to child murder... I put them through the can crusher at recycling points.
They go pop. That's about it.
Man alive! That's only second to putting batteries in bins (which is equivalent to mass child murder). You're living on borrowed time.
Just don't look down the hatch while you're crushing!

Take them back to the shop. You can try Migros or Coop or any other do-it-yourself shop. They usually make no fuss even if it's not their own brand (unless you happen to get to the wrong guy). They know best where to dispose the used cans.
If you're not sure, here's a site explaining what waste is considered "normal" and which one need special handling. It's in German, but at the bottom of the page you have a list of icons identifying special waste (that should not go into the household bin):
