However as they do not operate in Switzerland I cannot sell my phone to them. Does anyone know if there is a similar service offered in Switzerland? (other than selling private)
So I didn't find any information on this, maybe ye can help me out. So there is varies sites out there where you can sell your old mobile phones. Basically the company buy them from you for cash and they recycle the phone. One good one is Envirofone The prices aren't too bad either.
I just heard that Mobilezone is taking back old cell phones to ship them to third world countries. Depending on make and model you can get between 5Fr and 200 Fr.
Apart from being sold privately ( Ebay, Ricardo, Saturday flea markets, EF etc. ), most "old" phones end up in post offices where one can drop it off but cannot take them away. These end up being recycled, typically at SNH, Horgen for electro-recycling.
It's not the done thing in Switzerland, apart from the for sale/wanted section
