The reggae musician best known for his song "Night nurse" dies at the age of 59.
sad.
Nooooo, he's one of my favourite artists. His music was just so powerful in many ways. Sad to hear that.
It is indeed a very sad news. He is a big loss... he was loved all over the globe, but he also left behind 11 children.:-((
He died in London...I'd assume they'll reinpatriate his body to Jamaica. If so, then the funeral will take place this coming Sunday. I'm flying to Jamaica on Wednesday thus I might be able to attend the funeral parade. Give thanks to this post and I'll light a candle on your behalf as well when I'm there.
This was always my song.
Many thanks lost_inbroad...you are very kind to do so!
It looks like the jamaican government is waiting to receive his body sometimes next week, according to this http://rjrnewsonline.com/entertainme...saac’s-funeral
Such a nice song...
You're very welcome. I'll be there for 2 weeks. Hopefully, I'll be able to post on the happenings. If they will bring back his body some time next week, I'd assume that the funeral will take place the Sunday after.
The world goes on....
A real loss to music , a great voice and sooo cool.Ah well tomorrow is another day
They're all dying of cancer... what a shity disease..
That sounds about right. Luckily you'll be there for two weeks...!
Used to hang around at the sea in South Africa with the Rastas from the surrounding hills on our reggae sundays. Easy natty, easy.
Sad news. We went to see him in Zurich at the Rote Fabrik a few years ago and although his voice had clearly had better days, there was no doubting we were in the presence of a great Reggae / Lovers Rock legend. It was hard to see him through the green smoke effects, though. The Cool Ruler was still Cool
Lion.
And this is what has happened...to him
