Relocation agencies - Lausanne area

I was not able to find anything in the previous threads on this subject.

I am looking for the names (and any details you might have) of relocation agencies that deal with the major international firms in the Lausanne area such as PMI, Nestlé, Medtronic etc.

I need to sublet my apt. (four bedroom furnished) for a few months and I understand that relocation agencies are typically engaged to help find accommodation for the senior management that is moving to the area. My apartment would be most adapted to this market. Especially someone who is only here for a short period of time or someone who is waiting for a home/apt. to be renovated etc.

I am aware of the Lausanne Tourist office list and options such as Homegate.

Any ideas/suggestions would be most appreciated.

Hi Verbier

Please send me some details on your apartment, I know a couple with 2 children that are moving to Lausanne mid January and need a temp place for a few months while their house is being renovated.

Cheers

Nats

Hi Nats,

Many thanks. I will send you a PM with a link to a PDF with photos/apt details. Given the pricing (that I don't want to discuss on the forum), it is probably the type of thing that a company would rent rather than an individual (but who knows).

Have you tried " network relocations " or http://www.relocation-solutions.ch/ , Bern and area, but may be able to help you. I think they have an agent in Lausanne also.

Personal contact would be Lukas Hayoz, tell him I sent you.

Hi,

I would suggest you get in contact with Cocooning Swiss ( http://www.cocooning-swiss.ch/ ) as they cater to most of the large companies in the area.

/Peter

I have used both Swiss Access and Primacy:

http://www.swiss-access.ch/

http://www.primacy.com/

Both these companies are both very professional but I would definitely give Swiss Access the edge regarding the standard of accommodation they are able offer.

Swiss Access were also far better in communicating and keeping you informed.

I seem to have lost where to post a new message so apologies if this is in wrong area.

Can anyone recommend any villages in the Lausanne area that are especially suitable for a young family with Kindergarten aged children? What is the housing market like and what sort of price would be expected for a 6.5 zimmer family house with garden. I have searched on Homegate but really would like to hear first hand as it is a bit like a needle in the haystack search.

Regarding the house; close to the Lake Geneva area count on paying close to 4.5-5K minimum.

What I would recommend it to go outside the Lausanne and Lake Geneva area and up towards Moudon or Yverdon. Prime cities to choose from would be Cossonay, La Sarraz, Orbe, Echallens, Charvonay and Yverdon itself.

We would ideally be looking for a small village with perhaps 1000 inhabitants or so rather than a town.

Okay... That should be easy enough, but how far are you willing to travel to where you are going? (Where are you going in the area?)

Well at the moment it is merely a pipe dream but possibly working in either Monthey or Lausanne.

I would advertise on Homegate. Put the ad in English. Most of my clients actively search for housing. Be very specific about the dates, and the conditions. If you want a non smoker, say so.

In this link you can find names of relocation agencies.

http://www.relocationagents.com/bongo.pl/links/

There are two links worth looking at:

http://www.eura-relocation.com/

http://www.sara-relocation.com/

Not sure of what time period you are considering but another option might be contacting EHL.

http://www.ehl.edu/eng

They have an online noticeboard and might be able to help you find a tenant.

Good luck!

Smaller cities like Vouvry and Vionnaz would suit you quite well, but then again, if you don't mind some morning traffic and a bit of driving, you will get more for you money if you look for something between Lausanne and Yverdon.

Try Prudential relocation. We just relocated with them and they were great..

I second Primacy, I used them for my relocation to Switzerland

So did you use a relocation agency? Or homegate?

I need to sublet my appartment between october and march, and I am looking for advices, hints etc...

(Chavornay, by train: 25 min from lausanne, 10 from Yverdon, 50 from Neuchatel... less by car: 45 from Geneva!)
