Remedy for Excessive Sweating

Here's something that has stopped (yes, STOPPED!) my excessive facial sweating (hyperhidrosis):

2 tsp apple cider vinegar (bio with the "mother" intact)

2 tsp honey (raw organic is best)

1 glass of water

Mix and enjoy the drink 2 - 3 times a day!

I originally tried this concoction to remedy my severe hay fever and I'm now off allergy meds for the first time in my life

And then I realized that my facial sweating completely disappeared! I have HORRIBLE and embarrassing facial sweating that random strangers have inquired about on just 20 degree days . I can now freely enjoy this beautiful, hot summer being allergy and excessive sweat free!

Do you apply that topically or drink it?

I do something similar and drink it. ACV (apple cider vinegar) is SO healthy for you As is local, raw honey.

Appreciate the tip, will try it. I am suffering from allergies this Summer and normally I wouldn't suffer so late in the season - will give it a go.

A question about the facial sweating: can you wear face make-up now? Normally I don't even bother trying to wear make-up in the Summer, as my face tends to melt in the heat

I use ahc20 for a few weeks now and it really helps:

I've only used it for allergies :-/ Dunno about the sweating link.

Aren't we meant to sweat?

That's why we're humans.

Not all of the time. Summer sunshine makes me pant.

Because it brings out the ladies in their sundresses.

Unless something is broken in body's thermal regulation, sweating has a single purpose - to cool body down by physical effect of water evaporating from surface. Women have usually worse regulation than men. Cool drink can partially help, same with cold shower but it's a sinusoid and soon you're back at original state, if not worse. Pouring ice cold water (or putting ice) on your wrists helps to cool blood down (since relatively thick veins are right under skin there), and blood is transport medium for warmth within the body.

Interesting to know about those drinks! I wonder what is the functioning behind them (ie acidity triggering something)

Note - It's highly recommended NOT to drink apple cider vinegar straight, or to apply undiluted on skin.

"Undiluted apple cider vinegar, in liquid or pill form, may damage the esophagus and other parts of the digestive tract. Apple cider vinegar drinks may damage tooth enamel if sipped....Vinegar applied to the skin may cause burns and scarring." (from about.com with additional references at the bottom of the article)

Apparently, Botox works well for this.

"

NHS boob job girl Josie Cunningham is set to hit taxpayers’ pockets again — with nearly £1,500 of BOTOX.

The wannabe glamour model sparked fury earlier this year by flaunting her £4,800 36DD health service hooters .

Despite the outcry, NHS bosses have now agreed further beauty treatments to stop Josie’s excessive SWEATING ."
