Remote work in Switzerland for an employer based abroad (UK)

Hello,

This will be a bit complicated.
To start with, we are both EU citizens.

I have arrived to Switzerland in May (kanton Zurich), i have a B permit, a job, an apartment rented etc.
My girlfriend is currently living in UK, working for UK based company (company does not have business in Switzerland - apparently that’s important).

My girlfriend wants to move in with me and live in Switzerland, keep working for UK based company while searching for a job locally in the meantime.
I think she can do that legally for up to 3 months.

We want to get her a permit as soon as possible, with me being “a sponsor” (her UK sallary will not be sufficient to live here alone as far as i suspect).

Anyone know how to handle this? I was in my Gemeinde, but they did not gave me an answer.

According to below, she qualifies for permit as “without work activity”

If she doesn’t earn enough to support herself then she can’t get an independent permit. What you’d have to do is apply for a concubine permit for her and agree to be financially responsible for her for 5 years. Then she would get a dependent’s permit based on your own. Check with your cantonal migration office for more info.

And no, she cannot work here legally for her UK employer for 3 months.

She can come here to search for a job, but not sure if that also changed.

As an EU citizen she can work from Switzerland for a non-Swiss employer and obtain a residence permit for it

Yes, hence "with me being "a sponsor"" part. That's what i meant

Do you know how to go about working remotely?

Maybe this helps?
