Requirements for B Permit renewal in Kanton Schwyz

Do you know if there are language skills requirements for B Permit renewal in Kanton Schwyz?

I am EU passport holder.

I am EU citizen, living and working in Switzerland since June 2017.

I was first on L permit for one year and then on B permit.

My B permit expires on 30th June, 2023.

I am IT contractor and my contract expires on 30th June 2023. It will be probably renewed as it was renewed few times before. But I will get new contract one week before expiry my old contract

Now my question:

Will my B permit be renewed beyond my employment contract expiry date?

Or will my B permit be downgraded to L permit or authorities will not renew my permit at all?

That’s something you’d have to ask the Zurich cantonal migration office. Not sure how it works for contractors and not having an employment contract at the time of renewal. You could always apply for a renewal and send them a copy of the new contract when you get it, assuming you do.

Since it’s a Federal requirement then yes, there should be. Check the canton’s migration office website for exactly what’s required.
