Rescuing Baby Wild Animals

We are approaching the season when people are likely to find baby animals that seem to have been abandoned, so they misguidedly move them or try to rescue them. Many species (deer, rabbits, birds) stash their young and come back to care for them in their own time. This guy was amazing–he couldn’t ignore the plight of these owlets, and he dedicated all his time to make sure they thrived. Most babies are not so lucky. If you find a baby that seems to have been left behind, please do not move it or try to help it unless you can clearly see it is in a vulnerable location or in life-threatening health. If so, call animal rescue.
