Restaurant recommendations for Luzern

I'm in Luzern with my sister and her husband. We're soliciting recommendations for dinner!

We live in Luzern and often go to La Terrazza. It is a nice Italian restaurant on the River Ruess - you can sit on the terrace which is literally on the river or you can sit in the high ceilinged indoor area.

Ristorante La Terrazza Metzgerrainle 9

Here is a link to the website where you can see the menu and prices etc. I always book.

Hope you enjoy your stay, pity about the weather this weekend.

I can recommend Old Swiss House

I am wondering of there is a yelp equivalent for Switzerland?

Would be of great help when looking for reviews.

The Swiss House is also nice. It really depends on the type of food you are looking for. If you are looking for Swiss food the Rebstock is excellent.

When we are travelling or looking for places to eat in Switzerland I use Trip Advisor.

A good restaurant is Weisses Schloss:

+1 for Old Swiss House, the food is brilliant, but it can be quite expensive. It can also be a bit heavy, tipically Swiss. I highly recommend the menus of 69 CHF where you can choose 3 courses and particularly the Swiss Chocolate Mousse...heaven!

I love this mexican restaurant:

The only place i eat when in Luzern is a wonderful restaurant called Jasper at the Palace Hotel.

This thread is a bit old, so I was wondering if anyone had some newer recommendations for places to eat in Luzern?

The Mexican sounds good, as does any kind of Asian, esp. SE Asia...

Some nice ones away from the beaten tourist track:

The Weisses Schloss (mentioned above) is still good, and the bar next door (Nachbar) is a nice place to have a beer before the meal.

I think Grottino 1313 is my favourite though, despite being in the middle of nowhere (in city terms). Book well in advance if you want to go there on a Friday or Saturday.

On a more basic level, the Parterre does good salads, and the Restaurant Neustadt is known for its cordon bleu.

I'm spending a weekend in Luzern soon.

Everyone I've asked told me I have to go to Scala. We're staying at the Montana, so it's practical, but is it worth it?
