Went to Latini on Sat night. Its on Falknerstrasse. Its Italian and very reasonably priced and it was very tasty.

I can second Latini. Picobello (schifflande) is not bad either.

If ever you feel like a curry, go to the Bombay Palace near the Heuwaage. It's very, very good.

Noohn, Lillies and Accua are very good and not very expensive (swiss prices). These all have a webiste and can be found via google. Oh forgot the food is various asian styles for the first 2 accua does a bit from all.

forgot again my favourite Italien is centro, above the coop in barfusserplatz. Great atmoshpere no problem for seats in the week but fri/sat night maybe best to book.

I shouldn't be telling you this, because I like to think it's a secret.

Cantina don Camillo , Burgweg in the tower. You'll get a great view of Basel from this unique location.

Ah, have to disagree. Bombay is my least favorite curry place.

Jay's & Mandir's are nice, so is Jeffery's Thai.

Hi,

If you want something a bit special you might try one of:

Der Vierte König

Kornhaus

Weiherhof

Cheers,

Nick

The Movenpick Brasserie Baselstab at Marktplatz is having a GREAT deal..

Pretty much and appetizer, entree, and desert (1 scoop of ice cream) for 35CHF/person.

Hello,

I have to agree with Begga, Bombay it is not a good restaurant.

And the service it is that bad, I mean you have to wait very long until you get your drinks and after they just throw you everything on the table. The food is really not special and I found it quite expensive for what you get.

A special restaurant is Union, at Blaesiring.

For Thai food I think that Boo is very nice (same area),

and I love the italian one, centro, but now I will try also don camillo..if you say that is good.

In Germany, just across the border are some really nice restaurants if you are interested I can make a list

I'm interested. Please make a list ;)

Good thread with suggestions here: http://www.englishforum.ch/food-drin...ons-basel.html
