I was at coop getting ready to pay for my shopping using my android phone.
I opened the TWINT app and was just about to enter my password when the payment was paid automatically and money withdrawn out of my Revolut app! Annoyingly, I didn't have any CHF in the account and it converted non-CHF currency to make this payment.
Has anyone else experience this before and how to stop the app from automatically making payments?
Does Twint have a certain amount below which you do not have to enter a PIN? Check the app and set that to zero.

It looks like this is not a Revolut problem but rather a Google Wallet problem. I didn’t think it was Google Wallet related at first because there was not wallet notification - it just arrived 20 minutes later.
Wanted to write just that. You have set Google Wallet as your default NFC payment method. You will have to disable this in your phone NFC settings.
Interesting, on Apple Pay you have to double click and use Face ID to pay with a wallet card - unless its a travel card (ie London tube).
Disable everything related to Google. Google is evil, pure and simple.
I'm not sure if this is a new thing because I've used wallet before and it always needed me to open it and press the 'pay' icon. I did update the phone a couple of days ago.
I had a friend of mine that had the same problem, unless he had NFC disabled, payments were done automatically even when he had his phone locked.
Google developers nailed this one.
The UI for the NFC setting is confusing too. I chose Samsung Pay as default (it is not set up) and selected 'pay with currently open app'.
I assumed that 'pay with currently open app' should make the 'default' irrelevant, but the UI doesn't reflect this.
TWINT is also not recognised as a payment app.
Ha, I usually remove anything non-essential after getting a new phone. Just use Android Debug Bridge to get rid of anything you don’t need. One of the first APK to remove was google wallet
