simple answer, yes, but with a half-tax card you might find it's cheaper to buy a round-trip ticket (35chf or so) rather than the '9 o'clock pass' price...
I highly recommend you speak to your local ticket office of the SBB. I find them very helpful and they always seem to suggest cheaper options if there are any available...
