I sent the seller a reminder, which has been ignored.
Any ideas on what next steps are? (payment was done by bank transfer)

As far as I remember, they provide a good assistance too, either per E-Mail or phone.
Good luck!
Will give them a call later?
How significant was the saving vs buying a computer in a shop?
You said you sent them a reminder was that by email or did you phone them?
What is their feedback like as both seller and buyer?
In the main we have been happy with Ricardo as buyer and seller, now put off a bit by recent message re upping their charges.
We once got caught by a fraudster, some year ago. To quick summarise, contacted Ricardo, believe their charge for success was about 10% we paid. Had to report to Police as per Ricardo instructions. There were a few buyers caught by same seller. We got our money back relatively quickly from Ricardo. For years after received Police reports, they tracked down the buyer and court proceedings took place. My other half was bored with receiving the Police Reports for the next couple of years.
BTW, I believe we did phone seller a few times and did post a letter to the address before contacting Ricardo. Also tried to look up the seller in the village of his address in White Pagers. Did find other names but not his at that address.
Hope you manage to speak to the seller and get matter resolved successfully.
That's not correct. Protection up to 500 CHF if you pay with postcard/creditcard OVER that ricardo checkout called ricardopay. Up to 250 CHF for other cases of payment per documentable/traceable transfers (bank, but also payment slip receipt of the post is valid I think).
You really should read this as already indicated: https://help.ricardo.ch/hc/de/articl...-liefert-nicht
Main point is to use your "myricardo" interface online and process such things (in => my purchases) per the forms offered. Important, request for protection must be entered earliest 30 days, latest 60 days after the date of purchase, so you may have to wait. If you're not within the set deadlines, the corresponding buttons are greyed out. Emailing etc. IMO is not much of use, as long you did not process the request for protection according to ricardos guidelines.
I'm there since 20 years, and surely the page is swiss place No. 1 for fraud, scams and counterfeits. But one can deal with that, it is a page "best viewed with open eyes", as the saying goes.
