Ricardo had a very useful function, you could name an item you are interested in and then you got an email with pictures and links to any new items that matched your requirement.
Now they changed the system.
You get an email stating there are new items but just a link to the whole category. The category is claimed to be sorted as newest first but it is not so I have no clue which is the new item they are supposed to be telling me about.
I suppose the sorting problem is due to people taking advantage of the function to promote their items, or maybe the sort simply does not work correctly.
Yeah, every time I go there I have to click the sort menu to sort the results by "neu eingestellt" to see the newest items listed first.
But that is my problem, click "neu eingestellt" and it does not show the newest items listed first.
When the first on the list has a "duration" that is over in a couple of days then it clearly is not the newest, the minimum duration you can enter is seven days.
So anything that only has a remaining duration of two days must have been at least five days on offer, this conflicts with the Ricardo email that claims "new items to look at".
Is it the promoted items that are shown above anything else ?
🤔
Ahhh, okay. I think it does the same for me. I just checked an email I received from Ricardo earlier today, with the subject "... neue Treffer für deine gespeicherten Suchen!" And then when I clicked on "Alle Ergebnisse Anzeigen" in the email, it took me to Ricardo, and I noticed that it is already sorted by "neu eingestellt" but many of the items at the top of the search results end in just a few days.
(Hoping I've understood you correctly...)
So yeah, it looks like maybe there's a glitch in their system
It may be that the problem affects the first offer shown only, a not-that-rare programming error with lists.
Searching for tyres the first auction ends April 1 but the subsequent end on the 4th, 7th, 7th, 25th, 7th, etc.
Beware all, Ricardo is yet again increasing fees !
