What sad news. But a great achievement to make it to 99. Always thought he was brilliant.
I don’t know why people consider these death notices as “Sad News”… My great grandfather lived to be 114 and pretty much everyone on both sides of my family live well into their late ninties. And I don’t know a single one of them that was happy with it. From his mid 80s my father’s last prayer every night was that his God would take him. Poor man lived another 15 years…
When you are old, incapacitated and in constant pain, live has nothing to recommend it.
