RobinHood works in Swiss ?

Hello All,

I am moving from US and wondering how to trade in US market from there. Here I use Robinhood(RH) rigorously which is commission free trading platform. I am wondering if RH works in Switzerland or is there any similar platform where I can do commission free trading in US market.

Do forum searches for "trading", "stocks" etc.

I know that TD Ameritrade works over here. The website for Robinhood appears to work as well, although it looks like it's an App.

For a tip, I do use a local US address with my broker and I report on my 1099 in CH and the US.

Hope that helps.

Be advised that Robinhood is not a real broker and you don't own any of the stocks you hold in your account with them. You simply own a liability of Robinhood to you tied to the price of the stock.

Interactive Brokers, TD Ameritrade and Schwab are examples of real US based brokers.

The problem with trading on Swiss is that they're OK with you being online while they're on the ground, but during take off and landing, and also in the air you need to be in flight mode. hence you can't trade. If you need to trade while on the move it's better to go by train.

Don't think so, probably works in English.

schwab does commission free trading.

It seems it doesn't work anywhere haha https://www.cnbc.com/2020/03/02/robi...me-monday.html

I wondered what that bloke in green tights was doing on my last flight.

Interactive Brokers, very low commissions, almost free.

Basically $10 per month account fees below $100k of assets in your account. Otherwise, no account fees if you have more than that.

$10 fee is cancelled by monthly commissions of same amount.

And for a 2nd consecutive day, the free stock trading app is........dead https://twitter.com/AskRobinhood/sta...59068763844613

just goes to show the danger of using a new and unproven broker.
