A bit of a silly thing really … the rubber insulation stip on one side of the window (the fixed side) fell out. The guy who replaced it did not do a good job I guess …
Spent only a few mins trying to insert it back, but it was a bit of struggle. Once immied in and inserted, they should not come off … but it’s a lot of ‘fighting’, the way i was trying it.
Will check out youtube videos …
But wanted to ask if anyone has done this? recently? Any tips or tricks?

I need to figure this out too. I have wooden windows and wanted to replace them with PVC for easier maintenance, but now the gemeinde said ‘no’ I have to replace with wooden ones which will cost twice as much.
@phil_MCR: yours do not look so ‘exotic’… may be even consider a company across the border in Germany? Many will take jobs up to 1hr into CH from the border. They are very good quality and are much cheaper that swiss prices … When I was living in bodensee area, the german companies accross the border quoted me 1/2 of what the Swiss companies were quoting me. I ended up getting triple paned windows (to replace double paned windows) with full thermal isolation and filled with inert gas for 1/2 the price of what swiss companies were quoting me.
Mine look like this. Of course, I can use a larger sized flathead to jimmy it in place. It’s 1.25m long. I’m slightly worried that I might nick the rubber insulation. Hence asking.
BTW, replacing the rubber insulation did wonders. These are standard refills. Should be able to purchased/ordered easily.
You mean to replace the whole window or just the glass and broken bits?
They will probably try to quote you replace the window(s) (more EUR in their pocket). But you can always ask for quotes for both.
Honestly, I forget the name or the address of the company I used. I know they were manufacturers (not resellers). They were located in this region. I remember driving across the border in stein am rhein, and then driving a bit like 30-45 mins to get to their location.
