I want to do some 5 & 10k races in Switzerland. Is there a website similar to runners world with a race calendar? Are ther any good 10k race series similar to the BUPA Great runs in the UK in Switzerland?

Thanks. Got any recommendations of good ones to do? I'm not very experienced, only done 3 races, ranging 10 to 14 miles, but I'm definately better suited to 10K.

Greifenseelauf is on in September (you should be able to find details and sign up through datasport). It's a huge annual event held in Uster and good fun.

there is a 10k here in lausanne that goes around the lake in october, friends are trying to talk me into this- though i don't run often or seriously enough to really do it.
it may be a bit far for you, but it is quite a beautiful (and flat!) run.
I like this site. It has authorised races and you can choose to enter the Helsana Trophy races - enter 7 in a year and you get a gold medal and a nice certificate.
I run the same kind of distances and live in the same neck of the woods as you.
My favourite races are the Bern Grand Prix which is 10 miles, 30 000 people and great crowds. I also like the Luzern stadtlauf, Zurich Silvesterlauf and the Baselstadtlauf(which is short, but nice on a winter night with big crowds)
I think there are some around the lake of Brienz too, but I never did them. There is also the Jungfrau Marathon
