Rust protection

I have to sand down rusty rails and then protect with an underlay. Anyone know if there’s any difference between these 2 products?

Looks like the first is water soluble and the second not. Sometimes this has an effect on what type of top-coat one can apply. I have had good results with both types. Good prior removal of the rust is usually required.

I have had success with this product on already rusted metal, then you don’t sand it but just knock off any loose pieces

Will that also work on auto body rust? Otherwise what’s best for a small rust spot?

You just paint this on?

Exactly what I used it for

You paint it over the metal you are working on, and when it is dry, you can paint over it with a coloured paint or leave it, depending on your taste

Brunox is what we use on all our classic cars, and also our wrought iron decor on the house window grilles–it lasts for years, even unpainted. Brilliant stuff!
