Hello everyone,
I'm a student who is doing an internship in Geneva. I live in rue de Lyon. The thing is I work at a bar so I have to come home late at night (1-2am). I dont think there will be any transportation at that time anymore So I decide to buy an old bike to ride. It takes me 20 minutes to ride from work to home. What I want to ask is if it is safe to ride a bike at that time in geneva? Are there any big risks I could face?
Thank you very much!
Make sure you have working lights & a hi visibility vest.
I don't think riding a bike at night in Geneva is any different to riding a bike at night in any other city, other than odd night when it snows.
Its safe. I live close by. Just dont jump the traffic lights, always wear a helmet and pay attention to the cars around you. You will be fine.
Which bar?
You'll be as safe in Geneva as in any other town or city....
Check your route in daylight, noting where the bike lanes are and make a mental note of any possible blind spots where you'll be less visible to traffic than is ideal.
Make sure your new bike has a good set of lights, buy yourself a helmet and one of those high-visibility jackets.... and always be aware that some people just don't 'see' bikes, so be extra alert, especially at night.
Thank you guys for replying quickly
I am doing the internship in Starling Hotel, c bar and lounge.
Just get a t-shirt printed with your username on it. Nobody will come near you!
Will you be carrying large amount of cash? To where? And which route will you be taking?
I'll get a couple of people to help you
definitely I will never use cash in this city ))
Sorry I cant edit my post xD.
What you mean by that, it's just a cock - a female chicken :3
