Thank you very much in advance

If you're working in the field, surely you have an idea?

Thank you for the quick reply.

It seems really there are a lot of responsibilities, surly above 100k in Switzerland? And what s the potential career path in this field, let's say after 5 years?

I appreciate in advance.

Hi there,

Did you get the job? Or did you get any clarification on the salary? I wasnt sure if the answer provided was accurate. Please tell me the salary if you know it.

Thanks

Hi Uncle Max,

Sorry but I have a feeling your answer was sarcastic...I could be wrong! It seems a high figure for Sales Operations Specialist, is it accurate please?

thanks

100k after ONE year of experience? This ain't the land of milk and honey... No way you'll get paid that much, especially not in Vaud, but really not anywhere else either. A Sales Ops Manager in the Financial Industry in Zurich after a few years of experience might earn around that. A Sales Ops Specialist in Vaud maybe 70-80k.

You don't specify your industry. Given you work in the field, you should probably know more about career paths than anyone else. Specialist - then Sales Ops Mgr - then maybe KAM, that's about what I can think of.

Of course Uncle Max' response was sarcastic. That's about what a Sales Mgr with 8 years of experience and a proper MBA would earn.

hi samaire,

what if industry is medical i.e in Morges Vaud, as a sales operations specialist in specialised medical equipment, 70 staff, preparing quotes and tenders for the sales team? how would you estimate the salary? and benefits?

thanks

Well if you have your own staff and as such actual leadership/management responsibilities (or so I understand it), it is a different issue. Guess once again the job title says nothing - when I read "specialist", I think, well, specialist i.e. a technical job with no managerial responsibilities.

Maybe the job description would be helpful. Other than that, here's some report (2010, but I don't assume it's changed substantially) that gives some broad idea of salaries in sales & marketing in different industries: http://www.michaelpage.ch/productsAp...witzerland.pdf

I think s/he means the company has 70 employees, not that he has 70 people working for him/her, otherwise as you say the job would not a "sales specialist".

Ah that could be. OK, then I stick with my original salary estimate
