Sci-fi/horror show recommendations

As an aside to the Sitcom thread, can anyone recommend any good Sci-fi or horror shows, preferably from the last 10 years or so? I'm all done with Farscape and Firefly and am up to date with Fringe, The Event and Walking Dead. Dexter too.

Whate else is out there that I've missed?

I enjoyed "Death like me", not really horror but good fun

Well, neither sci-fi nor horror really, but if you liked Dexter, you might like Breaking Bad. It's a drama, but it has that secret life of crime element to it.

True Blood.

There is also a new show coming out over here in the US in a few weeks called American Horror Story which looks good.

Warehouse 13? Annoying leading lady, had a dodgy lip enhancement and it's all I see now but a good show.

Eureka

Walking Dead new season starts this weekend in the US si if you are into downloading...

There is another but I can't remember the name

Forgot Battlestar Galactica. Original and new series.

In my opinion Battlestar Galactica ( http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0407362/ ) is also good

Wasn't there a show called Dead like Me? They always met in a diner and got "Jobs" of who they were to kill by touching them.

Yes, that's what I meant.

the new V was watchable, a little slow, but its been canned now

Also Falling Skies, started slow, got slower, got a little better at the end of the first series (but annoying that everyone is so clean, with perfect white teeth, even at the end of the world)

I quite liked Tru Calling, but that got axed. I'm sure you can find it online somewhere.

Oops, forgot to say. Got BSG and the spin-off movies.

How do you think I got the 1st series? . Thanks for the heads-up, didn't realise the 2nd series was this weekend.

What was it about?

the trailers for it are on youtube, looks pretty good

Brit series

Dr Who. Never miss it.

Torchwood. The Miracle day series was a bit so so but has some good bits, the children of earth series was great. Episodes before those 2 series are a bit hit and miss, cheesy, but enjoyable.

No Heroics is a comedy superhero thing, only six episodes but funny.

On the state side

I also enjoyed Falling Skies, but it's a bit rocky in places and the characters don't really seem like they're facing the end of the world a lot of the time.

Jericho was OK.

Two guys possibly brothers, demons, soul stealing.... JUst checked and it is called Supernatural. Never watched it but ad's for it look..not too bad

that reminds me

Reaper was pretty good

eta also Brimstone

Was canned during the first series, but I really liked it

Only recently heard about "Breaking Bad" from another EFer who's absolutely hooked on it. Sounded awesome!

Ive seen all 6 seasons of supernatural and it's very good!

It has both a good metastoryline as well as many quality standalone episodes.

Also LOST is really good, although season 2 is a bit slow.

Heroes season 1 is also quite good, and could have gone on to be great, but dont bother watching seasons 2-3, as they are crap, and sadly ruined the franchise.

Another series I would recommend that not so many have watched is Rome. It's very high quality and good story. It's historical drama, so not really what you were asking for though..

Yeah, I agree with you on " Supernatural ". Haven't watched all 6 seasons but have seen many of the episodes and really enjoyed those. Season 7 premieres this Friday.

I also watched " Rome " and absolutely loved it.

Caught the first few shows of Rome and really liked it, but mised some and never was abale to catch up again. Historical stuff is fine, I'm waiting for the next Spartacus (sadly without Andy Reid) and recently watched Pillars of the Earth.

Thanks all for the recommendations.
